Parke To Coach Irish Squash Team

Simon Parke has been appointed as the new Irish men's squash coach. The former world No3 from Yorkshire won the world junior title in 1990 and went on to take six major PSA tour titles, including the US Open in 1999. With the England team, he won ten European and two World team titles.

Parke will look after the Irish men's team competing at the 2008 European Team Championships in Amsterdam, which start on April 30. Leading the team are Liam Kenny and John Rooney, with the veteran Derek Ryan also selected along with Arthur Gaskin and Niall Rooney.

Madeline Perry, Aisling Blake, Laura Mylotte and Kerri Shields make up the women's team.
